The Fox Family
Before Altamont came onboard, Fox was a 100% family owned company. Geoff, Greg, Pete, Josie, Anna and John Fox all worked in the company in one way or another.
Who started the company?
Geoff Fox started what was the first step to the now mega brand in 1974 in California.
It was first called Moto-X Fox and was a small distribution business for European motocross parts and accessories.
In 1977, he created a professional motocross team, Team Moto-X. The team used the company’s own dirt bike products. They did this to show the American people that they were superior to those of the competition.
But besides their own mx products the Team Moto-X Fox riders also wore bright red, yellow and orange race outfits. The gear was handmade by Fox and became an instant hit with the fans.
Soon pretty much each and every one asked for and wanted the Fox gear.
And the rest is, as they say, history!

Fox Racing headquarters is located in Irvine, California in the United States.
The company has additional offices in Morgan Hill, CA, Calgary, Canada and in Barcelona, Spain.
